Cryptocurrency? Blockchain? Bitcoin? You may not know about them but surely you may have heard about them once. And ter fact you don’t need to know about them even when you want to get them (mine / earn them). Nowadays there are many type of cryptocurrencies and a loterijlot of mining pool that help you lightly join and take part inthe spel. Te this postbode, I will demonstrate you a quick tutorial to setup a server for mining them. Via a big mining pool — MinerGate
If you want to know exactly what are bitcoin, blockchain, mining pool,… take a look at this 20 minteken movie: https://www.youtube.com/see?v=Lx9zgZCMqXE&,t=1079s
If you still can’t understand anything after watching the movie, witness again, again, and again,… until you understand or you give up 🙂 . Belive mij, but I need to see that movie about Five times until I can fully understand the blockchain stuffs.
So if you can’t understand about this tech, just skip it spil wij don’t need to know deeply about it. You just need how to earn and spend them (yup, that’s right)
Begin mining some cryptocurrencies for us
Very first you need to know that there are many type of cryptocurrencies nowadays. And at the time I write this postbode (October 28th, 2018) the most profitable cryptocurrency for mining now on MinerGate is Monero (XMR)
So I will introduce you how to mine Monero, of course after this tutorial you can setup a server to mine any type of cryptocurrency you like spil Bitcoin, Ether,…
- Go to MinerGate webstek (click here) and Signup a fresh account with your email, the email will be your account ID and used when you begin mining.
- Prepare your server, you can use a VPS (wij can also mine using CPU on VPS, but this will not profitable) or a dedicated server with a strong GPU for better mining rate
- There are many mining apps that MinerGate supports, te this postbode I use a VPS Ubuntu Server with no GPU so I use this app: https://minergate.com/altminers/cpuminer-multi-wolf for mining using CPU.
- Let’s download and build the app:
Five. Ok, now let’s begin mining Monero with this directive, you can run it te a screen session if you like, recall to switch the email [email protected] to your email which you used to register account on MinerGate, unless you wanna mine for mij 🙂
You can see the loom on terminal and see how quick the the mining speed. The mining speed is calculated te H/s (which is how many hash it can solve vanaf 2nd). For a quick calculation how many cost you can earn with this mining speed, go to https://minergate.com/rekenmachine/cryptonote and input the speed, for example with speed 670 H/s wij can get 0.01197 XMR vanaf day. Which is about $31 vanaf month.
Now you can go to MinerGate instrumentenbord: https://minergate.com/internal to see how much you have earned for each type of cryptocurrencies. You can also download their Android app to track your balance lightly.
How to mine quicker?
With minerd you can mine many other cryptocurrencies, you can see the instruction at https://minergate.com/altminers/cpuminer-multi-wolf But it only supports CPU, if you want to increase your mining speed, you need to use the power of GPU. You can download other app which support GPU mining spil Claymore GPU, Ethminer or Genoil at https://minergate.com/altminers/claymore-gpu
Of course you can also mine Bitcoin but presently the spel for Bitcoin is too big and you can’t get any benefit even with a normal GPU mining, if you are a novice, I suggest you should concentrate on some fresh cryptocurrencies like Monero.
Last thing to say
The main purpose of this postbode is education, so I can’t share any suggest or advise for who are going to commence business on mining cryptocurrencies. I just want to say that blockchain and cryptocurrencies are technicals for the future and they will switch our life somedays (spil how smartphone are switching our life). So whatever you are a software engineer, a IT, a technical-guru, don’t miss this fresh trending. At least, prepare for yourself some knownledge about this tech.
Feel free to ask or share with mij your question or idea. I would love to hear and discuss with anyone who want to learn and make the technology comes closer to our life.
